Chevening is the UK government’s international scholarships and fellowships programme. Chevening offer fully funded scholarships and fellowships to talented individuals with ideas and influence to lead positive change. Chevening provide the education, network, and confidence to support you to build a better future.

- Step 4: Complete each section of the application form

Eligibility
- Be a citizen of a fellowship-eligible country or territory.
- Demonstrate the potential to rise to a position of leadership and influence.
- Demonstrate the personal, intellectual and interpersonal attributes reflecting this potential.
- Return to your country of citizenship at the end of the period of the fellowship.
- Have a postgraduate level qualification (or equivalent professional training or experience in a relevant area) at the time of application.
- Meet all programme-specific fellowship eligibility requirements.
- Not hold British or dual British citizenship.
- Not have received UK Government scholarship funding.
What is included in Scholarship
- university tuition fees
- a monthly stipend
- travel costs to and from the UK
- an arrival allowance
- a homeward departure allowance
- the cost of one visa application
- a travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK
Course requirements
Courses must be:
- Full-time.
- Start in the autumn term (usually September/October).
- Taught master’s courses (not research-focused MRes programmes).
- Leading to a master’s degree qualification.
- Based in the UK.
Courses cannot be:
- Part-time or distance learning.
- Less than nine months or more than 12 months in duration.
- PhD or DPhil.
- Taught with more than one month of study outside the UK.
